Constitution Lost

Uphold the 22nd Amendment.

We The People

We the People of the United States

In order to preserve the integrity of our Republic, uphold the rule of law, and ensure the continued protection of our democratic institutions, do hereby establish this Amendment to clarify and reinforce the constitutional limits on presidential terms, and to affirm the sovereignty of the People over any individual officeholder.

Article I: Presidential Term Limits

Section 1. No person shall be elected to the office of President of the United States more than twice. Any person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which another person was elected President, shall be elected to the office of President no more than once. This provision is established by the Twenty-Second Amendment to the United States Constitution, ratified in 1951, and is binding on all current and future officeholders.

Section 2. Upon completion of his current term, Donald J. Trump, having been elected to the office of President twice, shall be ineligible to be elected President again. Any attempt to circumvent this restriction, whether by seeking election as Vice President or by other means, is contrary to the clear intent and letter of the Constitution.

Article II: Rule of Law and Democratic Accountability

Section 1. The office of the President is not a position of divine providence, nor is any individual endowed with authority above the Constitution or the People. The Founders invoked “Divine Providence” as a source of guidance and protection for the nation, not as justification for the rule of any one person.

Section 2. No claim of divine right, destiny, or providence shall be recognized as grounds for extending, renewing, or circumventing the constitutional limits on presidential terms. The People alone are sovereign, and the Constitution is the supreme law of the land.

Article III: Protection Against Constitutional Undermining

Section 1. Any effort by Donald J. Trump, or any other individual, to undermine, ignore, or violate the Constitution—including but not limited to attempts to extend tenure beyond lawful limits, defy court orders, or erode the separation of powers—shall be met with the full force of constitutional remedies and public opposition.

Section 2. The People of the United States have repeatedly demonstrated, through protest and public opinion, their commitment to defending the Constitution against authoritarian overreach and the consolidation of power.

Article IV: Affirmation of Democratic Ideals

Section 1. The presidency is a temporary stewardship, entrusted to individuals by the People, and subject to the laws and limits established by the Constitution. No person, regardless of popularity or influence, shall be permitted to subvert these principles.

Section 2. Congress, the Courts, and the People shall remain vigilant in upholding the Constitution, resisting any attempt to erode its protections, and ensuring that the office of President remains accountable to the nation.

Conclusion

Therefore, let it be resolved and affirmed: Donald J. Trump, having served two terms as President, is constitutionally barred from seeking or holding the office of President again. The People will not stand for any attempt to undermine the Constitution, and will defend the Republic against all threats, foreign and domestic, to its democratic foundations.
